Updated By-Laws
Review, update, and clarify the half-century old by-laws and operational documents. In particular, assure by-laws address the following:
- Owner consultation and voting on important decisions
- Sound procurement standards
- Rigorous conflict of interest guidelines
Improved Communication
Improve and expand open communications between owners, the board, and administration. This means
- Fostering owner participation and input in major planned projects
- Providing advance notice of board meeting topics
- Encouraging respectful discussion during board meetings
- Fully utilizing Condo Control, mailroom monitors, and other means of communication
- Assuring the timely posting of documentation such as meeting minutes and contracts
Empowered owners
Review and simplify the voting process for board elections to assure all owners have equal opportunity to cast a vote.
Empower owners to manage and staff committees that drive resolution of community needs and issues, reporting and making recommendations to the board.
Project Completion
Review and address planned projects:
- Porte cochère
- Elevators upgrade
- Hallway and sprinkler upgrades
- Security technology: while some are satisfied with the recreation board’s direction change that led to using biometrics, many are not. We must find a way to complete the security upgrade in a way that respects all in our community.
Financial Re-engineering
Initiate efficiency studies to reduce costs
Optimize revenue-producing activities
Upgrade the accounting services received by the association and unit owners
